Imago Relationship Therapy: Enhancing sexual connection with couples

CPD courses & hours for psychologists in New Zealand

New Zealand psychologists can learn to address sexual disconnection in couples using Imago Relationship Therapy, Attachment Theory…

Sexual disconnection is one of the most common reasons couples seek therapy, yet many couples therapists feel unprepared to address sexual concerns within the therapeutic space. While referral to a sex therapist is sometimes warranted, many couples prefer to explore these issues with a therapist with whom they’ve already built trust.

This webinar provides practical guidance for therapists on how to support couples in enhancing their sexual connection within the safety of existing therapeutic relationships. Drawing on multiple theoretical perspectives - including Imago Relationship Therapy, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the Sexocorporel model - this session empowers practitioners to integrate relational and somatic perspectives to address intimacy more confidently and competently.

Real-life video excerpts from sessions with three experienced couples therapists offer illustrative examples and case-based learning.
