ADHD Screening: The process & benefits

New Zealand · CPD points & talks · Psychologists

This specialized course is designed for mental health professionals aiming to enhance their understanding and clinical skills in identifying Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) across the lifespan. Despite being one of the most common neurodevelopmental conditions, ADHD often remains under-recognized and misunderstood, leading to misdiagnoses and inadequate support for clients. The course emphasizes the importance of screening as a critical first step in the identification process. It provides insights into distinguishing ADHD-related patterns and determining when further assessment or intervention is warranted. By addressing common myths and misconceptions, the course aims to equip clinicians with the knowledge to better support clients who may present with ADHD symptoms.
