The Interaction of Basic Fears and Basic Desires in the Enneagram Styles

New Zealand · CPD points & talks · Psychologists

New Zealand psychologists, gain a deeper understanding of core client motivations through the Enneagram. This talk examines how the basic fears and desires of each Enneagram type interact, driving observable patterns. Learn to sensitively bring this dynamic to your clients' awareness, enhancing self-understanding and enriching the therapeutic process in your New Zealand practice.

This talk looks at each of the nine Enneagram styles and how their basic fear and basic desire interact (most often unconsciously). The dance of these two aspects of type result in the behavioural patterns that we observe in the Types.  While noone type has a monopoly on any fear or desire, what we observe when working with they Types, is there is extra "traction" that can be gained in therapy, when we sensitively surface this dance in the client's awareness.
